Finance Transformation - Led the Financial Planning & Analysis Division through the planning, design and implementation phases of replacing the general ledger to state of the art SAP, budget and reporting systems. Conversion project included converting legacy code block, build out of financial interfaces and upgrading financial reporting tools.
403(b) / 457 Retirement Business Realignment - Finance lead responsible for assessing the not-for-profit retirement organization. Evaluated profitability, product viability & pricing, infrastructure requirements and business partnerships. Executed redesigned business strategy based on Financial recommendations.
Business Strategy - assumed oversight responsibility for Finance team during transition from remote location to New York City hub. Responsible for establishing control procedures for daily workflow and quarterly reporting and financial statements for subsidiary divestiture.
Sarbanes-Oxley - developed and implemented audit policy, process workflow documentation and remediation procedures for general accounting and financial reporting functions in the Life Reinsurance division. Compiled documentation and information required to bring unit into compliance with legislation and Corporate policy.
Business Strategy – founding Management team member of the 401(k) group retirement business. Led the business unit from start-up through full business cycle, including reorganizing product, distribution channels, marketing and field compensation.
Product Development – project team leader responsible for developing and marketing state-of-the-art 401(k) product to the small and mid-sized group retirement market.
